Description

The new Monza has arrived, as it should be announced, the latest production of this multifaceted and constantly innovative artist. It is undeniably a voice of Gwo-ka; but a voice that seeks other nuances of paths, that explores uncharted paths in the vast field of our possibilities, to trace its route and summon us to share with him, each step of his discoveries.

This constant risk-taking is successful. This meeting is a pure delight. A bouquet of sensibilities. An audacity flirting sometimes with a boulagèl (Guadeloupean polyphony) in filigree, other times approaching one of the seven fundamentals of our traditional music, without submitting too much, it transports us. Always Monza finds himself proposing new things, with a strong dose of his free genius. His new musical aesthetics lull us with the constancy of a blues from the woods, ballads that draw their substance from our forgotten roots. His themes energize our consciences and the voice that carries them amplifies the resonances…

It is to the listening of this excellent last Wozan Monza that I invite you, without delay.
