You know the saying, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”? MOTSEK’s new KafroHouse EP, with these 4 tracks, explores the cultural connection between Guadeloupe and Colombia — two distant places tied together by a shared history, where Guadeloupe’s “Bouladjèl” meets Colombia’s “Bullerengué.” For the occasion, MOTSEK invited the amazing Colombian singer of Bullerengué ANLLY MARIN, first discovered on the brilliant “Ay Como Hago”, and known for her stunning voice, to feature on 3 tracks.

But that’s not all! MOTSEK also invited the powerful voice of Wozan Monza for the Bouladjel on “On son pou yo” track, blending its rhythmic percussive energy with Afrohouse beats and vibrant Caribbean textures. On top of that, Timothé Petter brings his talent on the trumpet, adding another layer of richness on 2 tracks.

The result of this meeting will perhaps make you say that chance does not exist, or that destiny does things very well 😉 … and we will tell you that tasting several fruits from the same tree multiplies the flavors. Enjoy!
